THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE
BY-LAW
NO. 2005 - 059
BEING A BY-LAW TO ACCEPT A TENDER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
PARKING LOT EXPANSION AND HELIPORT RELOCATION FOR THE
KINCARDINE COMMUNITY MEDICAL CLINIC AND SOUTH BRUCE GREY
HEALTH CENTRE - KINCARDINE
(Ken Jackson Construction ltd.)
WHEREAS Section 117 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25 provides that
a municipality may acquire and develop land for the purpose of leasing the land to
a medical doctor, dentist or other health care professional;
AND WHEREAS pursuant to the said Municipal Act, Sections 8 and 9 (1)
. provide municipalities with the powers of a natural person to enable them to
govem their affairs as they consider appropriate under this or any other Act and to
enhance their ability to respond to municipal issues:
AND WHEREAS the Municipality of Kincardine has constructed the Kincardine
Community Medical Clinic to ensure health care for the benefit of its residents;
AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine
has deemed it beneficial to participate as a joint partner with the South Bruce
Grey Health Centre in the expansion of the parking lot and relocation of the
heliport, and including a ring road to be utilized by clients and staff of both the
Kincardine Community Medical Clinic and the South Bruce Grey Health Centre -
Kincardine;
AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine
deems it expedient to accept the tender of Ken Jackson Construction Ltd. in the
amount of $662,822.63 to expand the parking lot, to relocate the heliport and to
construct a ring at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine and
Kincardine Community Medical Clinic site;
NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Municipality of
Kincardine ENACTS as follows:
1. That the tender of Ken Jackson Construction Ltd., in the amount of
$662,822.52, including all applicable taxes, for the construction of the
expanded parking lot, ring road and the relocation of the heliport at the
South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine and Kincardine Community
Medical Clinic.
2.
That the Mayor and CAO be hereby authorized to sign, on behalf of the
Council for The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine, any contracts
and other documents required to authorize the construction.

3. This by-law shall come into full force and effect upon its final passage.
This by-law may be cited as the "KCMC, SBGHC Parking Lot Expansion
(Ken Jackson) Tender Acceptance, By-law".
READ a FIRST, SECOND and THIRD TIME and FINALLY PASSED this 20th day
of April, 2005.
