THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE
BY-LAW
NO. 2021 - 089
BEING A BY-LAW TO APPOINT JENNIFER WHITE AS DEPUTY CLERK
WHEREAS Section 8 (1) and 9 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, as
amended, provide that the powers of a municipality under this or any other Act
shall be interpreted broadly so as to confer broad authority on the municipality to
enable the municipality to govern its affairs as it considers appropriate and to
enhance the municipaliINOH 89@lity to respond to municipal issues and has the
capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a natural person for the purpose of
exercising its authority under this or any other Act;
AND WHEREAS Section 228(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001 provides that a
municipality may appoint deputy clerks who have all the powers and duties of the
clerk under this and any other Act;
AND WHEREAS Council deems it advisable to pass by-law relating to
appointment of Jennifer White as Deputy Clerk;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of
Kincardine ENACTS as follows:
1. That Jennifer White be appointed Deputy Clerk for The Corporation of the
Municipality of Kincardine as of May 10, 2021.
2. That this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon its final passage.
3. That this by-law may be cited as the PAppointment of Deputy Clerk
(Jennifer White) By-lawQ
