THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE
BY-LAW
NO. 2021 - 075
A BY-LAW TO APPOINT A MEMBER TO FILL THE VACANCY
IN THE OFFICE OF MAYOR
WHEREAS a vacancy has occurred in the office of Mayor;
AND WHEREAS the Municipal Act, 2001 requires that Council declare the office
vacant and within 60 days of the declaration either pass a by-law requiring a by
election or appoint someone who has consented to fill the vacancy;
AND WHEREAS at its meeting of April 12, 2021, Council declared the office of the
Mayor vacant and on April 19, 2021 Council decided to fill the office by making an
appointment;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of
Kincardine ENACTS as follows:
1. Gerry Glover is appointed to fill the office of Mayor for the remainder of the
current term of Council.
2. That this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon its final passage.
