THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE
BY-LAW
NO. 2021 - 063
BEING A BY-LAW TO APPOINT BRAD LEMAICH AS FIRE CHIEF FOR THE
MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE
WHEREAS Section 6(1) of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997, S.O.
1997, Ch. 4, as amended, provides that if a fire department is established for the
whole or a part of a municipality, the council of the municipality, as the case may
be, shall appoint a fire chief for the fire department;
AND WHEREAS Section 8 (1) and 9 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25,
as amended, provides that the powers of a municipality under this or any other
Act shall be interpreted broadly so as to confer broad authority on the municipality
to enable the municipality to govern its affairs as it considers appropriate and to

municipality has the capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a natural person for
the purpose of exercising its authority under this or any other Act;
AND WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine
deems it expedient to appoint a Fire Chief for the Municipality of Kincardine;
NOW THEREFORE the Council ofThe Corporation of the Municipality of
Kincardine ENACTS as follows:
1. That Brad Lemaich be appointed as Fire Chief for The Corporation of the
Municipality of Kincardine.
2. That By-law No. 2020 T 025 be repealed.
3. That this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon its final passage.
