THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE
BY-LAW
NO. 2021 - 001
A BY-LAW TO APPOINT A MEMBER TO FILL THE VACANCY
IN THE OFFICE OF COUNCILLOR WARD 3
WHEREAS a vacancy has occurred in the office of Councillor Ward 3;
AND WHEREAS the Municipal Act, 2001 requires that Council declare the office
vacant and within 60 days of the declaration either pass a by-law requiring a by
election or appoint someone who has consented to fill the vacancy;
AND WHEREAS at its meeting of November 16, 2020, Council declared the office
of the Councillor Ward 3 vacant and on November 16, 2020 Council decided to fill
the office by making an appointment;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of
Kincardine ENACTS as follows:
1. Dorne Fitzsimmons is appointed to fill the office of Councillor Ward 3 for the
remainder of the current term of Council.
2. That this by-law shall come into full force and effect upon its final passage.
