THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE
BY-LAW
NO. 2020 - 127
BEING A BY-LAW TO APPOINT MATT COTTRILL AS DEPUTYCHIEF :
KINCARDINE STATION FOR THE MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE
WHEREAS Section 8 (1) and 9 of the Municipal Act,2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, as
amended, provides that the powers of a municipality under this or any other Act
shall be interpreted broadly so as to confer broad authority on the municipality to
enable the municipality to govern its affairs as it considers appropriate and to
@HC<H>@ MC@ GNHD>DJ<FDMRTs ability to respond to municipal issues and a
municipality has the capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a natural person
for the purpose of exercising its authority under this or any other Act;
AND WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of
Kincardine, with the passage of By-law No. 2008 S173, the Establish and
Regulate Municipality of Kincardine Fire Department By-law, defined a UDeputy
ChiefV as a person appointed by Council to act on behalf of the Fire Chief either
at the Kincardine or Tiverton Station in his/her absence;
AND WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine
deems it expedient to appoint a Deputy Chief - Kincardine Station;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of
Kincardine ENACTS as follows:
1. That Matt Cottrill be appointed as Deputy Chief - Kincardine Stationfor the
Municipality of Kincardine.
2. That this by-law shall come into full force and effect as of October 5, 2020.
