HomeMy WebLinkAboutBRU 81 001 remuneration 1981 CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRUCE BY-LAW NO: 81-1 BEING A BY-LAW to establish remuneration and scales of salaries for municipal employees, council and local boards for the year 1981. WHEREAS The Municipal Act R.S.O. Chapter 284, Section 237(1), 389(1)(2)(3) 352 and amendments thereto authorize a Municipal Council to pass by-laws for the establishment of remunerations. NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Bruce deems it expedient to set the rates of remuneration for Council members. Local Boards and Township employees enacts as follows: (1) That the remuneration for Council members ra tes . (a) Reeve (b) Deputy Reeve (c) Councillors be set at the following $5,000.00 per annum $3,500.00 per annum $3,000.00 per annum (2) Local Board member rate. (a) Full day meeting (b) Half day meeting $55.00 each $35.00 each (3) That the remuneration for the Clerk-Treasurer be set at: (a) $25,000.00 per annum (4) That the remuneration for the Road Superintendent be set at: (a) $21,000.00 per annum (5) That the remuneration for other employees be set as follows: (a) Grader Operator and Snowblower Operator $6.25 - $7.75 per hour (b) Truck Driver $5.50 - $6.75 per hour (c) Labourer, Wingman Landfill site supervisor Community Centre custodian (d) Secretary Receptionist $4.00 - $5.50 per hour $10,500.00 per annum (6) The rate for mileage paid upon Township business be set at the prevailing Provincial rate, as set from time to time by resolution. Present rate: 28¢ per mile or 17¢ per kilometre (7) That By-law No. 80-2 be hereby repealed. By-law introduced and read a First time this EIGBTHday of JANUARY, 1981. By-law read a Second time this EIGHTH day of JANUARY, 1981.
