CORPORA'I'ION OF 'l'BE 'l'OIINSHIP OF BRUCE
BY-LAW 183-30
BEING A BY-LAW to amend By-law 183-1.
WHEREAS the Municipal act R.S.O. 1980, Chap. 302, Section 238(1), 240(1),
203(45) and amendments thereto authorize a Municipal Council to pass by-laws
for the establishment of remuneration.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Bruce enacts
as follows:
(1) That paragraph (1) be amended to read as follows.
(1) That the remuneration for council be set at the following rates.
(a) Reeve $5,775. per annum
(b) Deputy Reeve $4,042. per annum
(c) Councillors $3,465. per annum
(2) That paragraph (2) be deleted.
(3) That paragraph (3) be amended to read as follows:
(3) That the remuneration for the Clerk-Treasurer be set as follows:
(a) $30,135. per annum.
(b) one (1) week vacation, in addition to the normal entitlement
established under the employment policy.
(4) That paragraph (4) be amended to read as follows:
(4) That the remuneration for the Road Superintendent be set at:
(a) $25,814.
(5) That the remuneration for other employees be set as follows:
(a) Grader operator & Snow plow operator - $7.70 - $9.53 per hour.
(b) Truck Driver - $6.88 - $8.43 per hour.
(c) Labourer, Landfill Site Supervisor
& Wingman - $5.50 - $6.88 per hour.
(d) Community Centre Custodian - $6.50 per hour + 12.5¢ per hour
retroactive for the year 1983.
(e) By-law Enforcement Officer &
Chief Building Official
(f) Secretary Receptionist
- $9.90 per hour.
- $13,387. per annum
(6) That paragraph (6)regarding rate for kilometers travelled on Township
business remain the same.
(7) This by-law takes effect January I, 1984.

By-law read a Second time this TWENTY-NINTH day of DECEMBER, 1983.
By-law read a Third time and finally passed, signed, sealed and numbered
83-30 this TWENTY-NINTH day of DECEMBER, 1983.
