CORPORATIOB OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRUCE BY-LAW 110. 84-13 BEING A BY-LAW to authorize the commencement of an action in the Supreme Court of Ontario to determine the identity of the subscribers of the Bruce Municipal Telephone System and to engage a solicitor for such purpose. ./ WHEREAS The Corporation of the Township of Bruce has vested in it in trust for the benefit of the subscribers of the Bruce Municipal Telephone System the assets of such system; AND WHEREAS the Corporation is unable to determine the identity of the subscribers; AND WHEREAS it is deemed in the best interests of the Corporation and the persons or parties who may have an interest in the system to have their identity determined by a Court of competent jurisdiction. NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Bruce enacts as a By-law of the Corporation the following: 1. The Clerk be and he is hereby authorized to engage the services of ROBERT E. FORSYTH, Q.C. as solicitor for the Corporation to commence a proceeding or pro- ceedings in a Court of competent jurisdiction to determine the identity of the subscribers to the Bruce Municipal Telephone System; 2. The Reeve and the Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the Corporation a retainer substantially in the form attached to and forming a part of this by-law. By-law introduced and read a First time this TWENTY-THIRD day of JULY, 1984. By-law read a Second time this TWENTY-THIRD day of JULY, 1984. FORSYTH, Q.C. for the purpose of commencing and conducting proceedings in the Supreme Court of Ontario to determine the identity of the subscribers of the Bruce Municipal Telephone System. Robert E. Forsyth, Q.C. be and he is hereby authorized to engage such other counsel and/or consultants that he, in his discretion, deems necessary and requisite for the proper prosecution of the proceedings and to institute and conduct such other incidental proceedings as may be necessary. Robert E. Forsyth, Q.C. is further authorized to enter into negotiations with other parties from time to time and at all times for the purposes of resolution of the question on behalf of the Corporation. This retainer shall extend to and cover services performed prior to the date hereof commencing on the 18th day of July, 1984. The authority hereby given and this retainer may be terminated by by-law of the Corporation.
