HomeMy WebLinkAboutBRU 89 018 cemeteries THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRUCE BY-LAW NO. 89-18 BEING A BY-LAW authorizing the maintenance and ownership of certain cemeteries within the Township of Bruce. WHEREAS pursuant to the Cemeteries Act, R.S.O. 1980, Chapter 59, Section 62, where the owner of a cemetery can not be found, or is unknown, the council of the local municipality in which the cemetery is situate shall maintain it and is deemed to be the owner of the cemetery. AND WHEREAS it is desirous to obtain control and ownership over certain abandon cemeteries within the Township of Bruce. NOW THEREFORE be it enacted by the council of the Township of Bruce as follows: 1. EVANGELICAL UNITED BRETHERN CEMETERY That ownership of the cemetery known as Evangelical United Brethern Cemetery, located at Part Lot II, Concession 4, in the Township of Bruce, County of Bruce and more particularly described in the schedule attached to this by-law be assumed by the Council of the Township of Bruce. 2. QUEEN HILL CEMETERY That ownership of the cemetery known as the Cemetery located at Part of Lot 18, Concession Township of Bruce, in the County of Bruce particularly described in the schedule attached law be assumed by the Council of the Township of -. Queen Hi 11 14, in the and more to this by- Bruce. 3. PORT BRUCE CEMETERY That ownership of the cemetery known as the Port Bruce Cemetery and also known as the Baie Du Dore Cemetery located at Part of Lot D, Concession 7 in the Township of Bruce, County of Bruce and more particularly described in the schedule attached to this by-law be assumed by the Council of the Township of Bruce. 4 . WRIGHTSON CEMETERY That ownership of the cemetery known as the Wrightson Cemetery and also known as the Shiloh Church or Willow Creek Cemetery and located at Part of Lot 23, Concession 5, in the Township of Bruce, County of Bruce and more particularly described in the schedule attached to this by-law be assumed by the Council of the Township of Bruce. · - - -c ~~.--~-:-- .. - --. That the Reeve and Clerk are authorized to execute any further deeds or other documents as may be required to assume ownership of the said cemeteries and are further authorized to affix the corporate seal thereto as may be required. By-law introduced and read a First time this TWENTY-EIGHTH day of MARCH, 1989. By-law read a Second time this TWENTY-EIGHTH day of MARCH, 1989. By-law read a Third numbered 89-18 this time and finally passed, signed, sealed, and TWENTY-EIGHTH day of MARCH, 1989. ~ ¿lJ{.-Ll CLERK REEVE - SEAL · THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRUCE BY-LAW NO. 89-18 (SCHEDULE "A") PAGE 3 In the Township of Bruce, County of Bruce and being composed of that part of Lot Number twenty-three in the Fifth concession of the aforesaid Township of Bruce which is described as follows: COMMENCING at the south west corner of the said Lot number twenty-three; THENCE northerly along distance of one hundred the westerly boundary and twenty feet; of said Lot a THENCE easterly parallel with the southerly boundary of said Lot a distance of one hundred feet; THENCE southerly parallel with the westerly boundary of said Lot a distance of one hundred and twenty feet; THENCE westerly along of said Lot a distance beginning. the concession line and of one hundred feet southerly to the boundary place of -. THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRUCE BY-LAW NO. 89-18 (SCHEDULE "A") PAGE 4 In the Township of Bruce, County of Bruce and being composed of part of Lot number eleven in the fourth concession of the Township of Bruce containing by admeasurement one half acre and maybe known and described as follows: COMMENCING at a post planted at the northerly angle of said Lot; THENCE South fifty nine degrees and thirty minutes East 165 feet (two chains and fifty links) to a post; THENCE South thirty degrees and thirty minutes West 132 feet (two chains) to a post; THENCE North fifty nine degrees and thirty minutes 165 feet (two chains and fifty links) to a post; THENCE North thirty degrees and thirty minutes East 132 feet (two chains) to the place of beginning. THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRUCE BY-LAW NO. 89-18 (SCHEDULE "A") PAGE 5 In the Township of Bruce, County of Bruce and being composed of that part of Lot number eighteen in the fourteenth concession of the said Township of Bruce described as follows: that is to say, COMMENCING where a post has been planted on the northerly limit of Lot number eighteen in the fourteenth concession of the Township of Bruce at the distance of 899.745 feet (thirteen chains sixty three and one quarter links) easterly along said northerly limit of said Lot from the northwest angle of said Lot; THENCE southerly parallel to the westerly limit of said Lot 208.7052 feet (three chains sixteen links and eleven fiftieths of a link) more or less to a post; THENCE easterly parallel to the 208.7052 feet (three chains sixteen a link) more or less to a post; northerly limit of said Lot links and eleven fiftieths of THENCE northerly parallel to the westerly limit of a said Lot 208.7052 feet (three chains sixteen links and eleven fiftieths of a link) more or less to a post planted on the northerly limit of said Lot; THENCE westerly along said northerly limit of said Lot 208.7052 feet (three chains sixteen links and eleven 'fiftieths of a link) more or less to the place of beginning containing by admeasurement one acre of land be the same more or less. -. . THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRUCE BY-LAW NO. 89-18 (SCHEDULE "A") PAGE 6 In the Township of Bruce, County of Bruce and being composed of that part of Lot letter D in the seventh concession of the Township of Bruce in the said County of Bruce described as follows, that is to say; COMMENCING at the South East angle of the said Lot letter D; THENCE in a northerly direction along the East side of said Lot 231 feet (fourteen perches); THENCE in boundary of a westerly said Lot 398 direction parallel unto feet (twenty four perches the southern and two feet); THENCE in a southerly direction parallel with the eastern side of said Lot 231 feet (fourteen perches); THENCE in an easterly direction along the South side of said Lot letter D 398 feet (twenty four perches and two feet) to the place of beginning. .
