'!'HE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRUCE
BY-LAW NO. 90-26
BEING A BY-LAW to appoint a Clerk-Treasurer.
WHEREAS the Hunicipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, Chapter 302, Sections 77
and 79, Subsection 1 and Section 149, Subsection 2(t) authorizes
a Council to appoint a Clerk-Treasurer, and enter into agreements
respecting conditions of employment.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Bruce enacts as follows:
(1 )

(4) That the Corporation of the Township of Bruce will actively
seek enrolment in the Ontario Hunicipal Employees Retirement
System to enable the Clerk-Treasurer to continue his
contributions, in the event that this does not occur, the
equivalent contribution will be paid to appointee.
(5) That time off will be granted for meetings that occur
outside normal office hours.

(6) That the appointee will be allowed to attend training
courses and the Corporation shall allow training allowances
as an ongoing entity, i.e. Hunicipal Law Course (Conestoga
College), Hunicipal Planning (Georgian College), and others
as the case may be.
(7) That the appointee be allowed to attend the annual A.H.C.T.
Conference and the Annual Hunicipal Finance Conference,
along with Zone and County meetings which will be
underwritten as for cost by the Corporation.

(8) That the appointee is under no obligation to reside in the
Municipality.

That the previous Clerk may be consulted
regard to problems associated with the
administration.
