THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRUCE
BY-LAW NO. 95-36
Being a by-law confirming the acquisition of
land for highway purposes and to establish the
same as part of the public highway system for
the Township of Bruce.
WHEREAS pursuant to the Municipal Act. R.S.O. 1990. Chapter M.45.
section 191(1) the Council of every municipality may pass by-laws
for acquiring land for municipal purposes.
AID WHEREAS pursuant to the said Municipal Act, Section 297(1)(a)
the Council of every municipali ty may pass by-l all's for establishing
and laying out highways.
AID WHEREAS there is located in the Township of Bruce. a highway
known as the "TIE ROAD" which is owned by ontario Hydro and
provides access to the Bruce Nuclear Power Development Site located
in Bruce Township.
AID WHEREAS the said "TIE ROAD" has been in existence for many
years and is used by the public as a public highway.
AID WHEREAS the location of the "TIE ROAD" has been determined by
various surveys and reference plans.
AID WHEREAS the "TIE ROAD" has been improved, widened and upgraded
to standards acceptable to the Township of Bruce.
AID WHEREAS Ontario Hydro has conveyed its interests in the lands
occupied by the "TIE ROAD" allowance to the Township of Bruce.
AID WHEREAS it is desirous to confirm the acquisition of the land
as part of the Bruce Township public highways system.
NOW THEREFORE be it enacted and it is hereby enacted by the Council
of the Township of Bruce as follows:
1. That the acquisition of the lands described in the schedule
attached to this by-law are hereby confirmed and dedicated.
2. That the said lands described in the schedule attached to this
by-law are hereby acquired for highway purposes and are
accepted and dedicated as part of the public highways system
for the Township of Bruce and shall be known as the "TIE
ROAD".

3. That this by-law shall become effective upon its final passage
by the Council of the Township of Bruce and upon its
registration in the Registry Office for the Registry Division
of Bruce (No.3).
By-law introduced and read a First time the TWENTY-SECOND day of
AUGUST, 1995.
By-law read a Second time this TWENTY-SECOND day of AUGUST. 1995.
By-law read a Third time and finally passed. signed. sealed and
numbered 95-36 this TWENTY-SECOND day of AUGUST, 1995.

Those lands and premises located in the following municipality, namely, in the
Township of Bruce, in the County of Bruce and being more particularly described as
follows:
FIRSTLY: Parts of Lot 21, Lake Range or Concession" A" designated as Parts. 2
and 3 on a reference plan deposited in the Land Registry Office for the Registry
Division of Bruce (No.3) as Plan Number 3R-2262; and
SECONDLY: Part of the road allowance between Lots 20 and 21, Lake Range or
Concession "A" designated as Part 4 on said Plan 3R-2262; and
THIRDLY: Parts of Lot 20, Lake Range or Concession "J>(' designated as Parts 5
and 6 on said Plan 3R-2262; and
FOURTHLY: Parts of Lots 11, 12, 13, 14, IS, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20, Lake Range or
Coocession "A" designated as Part 7 on said Plan 3R-2262; and
FIFTID..Y: Parts of Lots 13, 14, IS, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20, Lake Range or
Coocession "A" designated as Part 9 on said Plan 3R-2262.
