THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRUCE
BY-LAW NO. 96-17
.
BEING A BY-LAW confirming the acquisition of land for highway
widening purposes and establishing the same as part of the public
highway system for the Township of Bruce.
WHEREAS pursuant to the Municipal Act, R.S.C. 1990, Chapter M.45,
Section 191(1), the Council of every municipality may pass by-laws
for acquiring land for municipal purposes.
AND WHEREAS pursuant to the said Municipal Act, section 297(1)(b)
the Council of every municipality may pass by-laws for widening any
highway or part of a highway.
AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the Township of Bruce has from time
to time acquired land for the purposes of widening and improving
the existing Bruce Township public highway system.
AND WHEREAS it is desirous to confirm the acquisition of the land
as part of the Bruce Township public highway system.
NOW THEREFORE be it enacted and it is hereby enacted by the Council
of the Township of Bruce as follows:
1. That the acquisition of the lands described in the schedule
attached to this by-law are hereby confirmed and approved.
2. That the said lands described in the schedule attached to this
by-law are hereby acquired for highway widening purposes and
are accepted and dedicated as part of the public highway
system of the Township of Bruce.

3. That this by-law shall become effective upon its final passage
by the Council of the Township of Bruce and upon its
registration in the Registry Office for the Registry Division
of Bruce (No.3).
By-law introduced and read a First time this THIRTEENTH day of
AUGUST, 1996.
By-law read a Second time this THIRTEENTH day of AUGUST, 1996.
By-law read a Third time and finally passed, signed, sealed, and
numbered 96-17 this THIRTEENTH day of AUGUST, 1996.
