HomeMy WebLinkAboutTIV 94 002 appt canine officer THE CORPORATION OF THE VILLAGE OF TIVERTON BY-LAW NUMBER 94-2 A BY-LAW TO APPOINT THE CANINE CONTROL OFFICER FOR THE VILLAGE OF TIVERTON. WHEREAS, Chapter M. 45, Section 207, Subsection 45, R.S.O. 1990 of the Municipal Act provided that the Council may by by-law appoint such officers and servants. . THAT this appointment be subject to the conditions as attached as Schedule A to form part of this by-law. THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Village of Tiverton enacts that Frank Green be appointed as Canine Control Officer for the Village of Tiverton That we hereby repeal By-Law Number 1990-12. This By-law shall come into full force and effect upon the final passing thereof. By-law introduced and read a FIRST and SECOND time, this 22nd day of February, 1994. /ðc? . SCHEDULE A OF BY-LAW 94-2 1. . 2. 3. 4. This appointment will have a six month probationary period from time of passing. A $15.00 monthly retainer/telephone/maintenance fee will be paid. For duties performed a $10.00 per hour fee. Notification for pick up of dogs running at large will be done by the Clerk or a Council Member. 5. A minimum patrol of once a week on different days and times. 6. Mileage expense of .30 cents per kilometer for the weekly patrol from Paisley will be worked out to the satisfaction of Council on an equitable basis that is shared by the surrounding Municipalities that use the same Animal Control Officer. 7. All dogs that are picked up will be taken directly to the Kincardine Veterinary Clinic. 8. The claimant of the impounded animal within the redemption period stated in By-Law 6-1987 will pay all applicable pound fees and any other expenses occurred in capturing and transporting the said dog to the Veterinary Clinic, plus, $60.00 for the Village of Tiverton. These monies will be paid directly to the Veterinary Clinic prior to the dog being released to the claimant. 9. All fines, rules and regulations in accordance to By-lay 6-1987 will be adhered to. .
