HomeMy WebLinkAboutTIV 85 005 Appt fire cheif II I ~-- ,. ii U' . ~ , .. ¡¡ II 'i ,I I! ¡ " I,'~' ¡:~, ,I I i i I í· , I I ,I I i I I i ! , I I i I !I ~ CORPORATION OF THE VIILAGE OF TIVERl'ON BY-lAW NUMBER 85- S i II II i WHEREAS by virtue of subsection 1 of section :3 of the Building Code Act, 1974, the Council of a municipality is responsible for the enforcement of that Act within the municipality; AND WHEREAS by virtue of subsection 2 of section :3 of the Building Code Act, 1974, the Council of a municipality shall appoint such inspectors as are necessary for the purposes of the enforcement of the said Act in theaareas in which the municipality has ,þrisdiction¡ I Ii ! i II " I! AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Village of Ti verton in fulfilling these duties, wishes to assign specific responsibility for the enforcement of the said Act and the regulations made thereunder, (hereinafter referred to as the "Building Code"). NOW THEREFURE the Council of the Corporation of the Village of Tiverton enacts as follows; r I I I I II The Cñmíif of the Ti verton, Bruce and Kincardine Township Fire Department is hereby appointed as an Inspector pursuant to subsection 2 of section :3 of the said Act and shall be responsible for enforcing those sections of the Building Code set .nut in Schedule A annexed hereto. "Code Section" may be modified on the advice of the Chief of the Fire Department as may the "Plan Examination and Approval" and "Inspection" columns. Council should discuss a proposed schedule with the Chief Building Official and the Chief of the Fire Department to ensure understanding and co-operation.
