HomeMy WebLinkAboutTWP 98 009 Control Fire-Rescind y . . THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF KINCARDINE By-Law 98-09 Being a By-Law To control Fires in the Township of Kincardine. WHEREAS the Municipal Act authorizes Councils of local Municipalities to pass By-Laws for the control of fires. NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Kincardine deems it expedient to enact as follows: 1. That ALL of the Corporation of the Township of Kincardine is hereby designated as a restricted fire area. 2. No person shall set out fire or set fire to any brush, building or heap or other combustible material in any field, clearance or place in the designated area where the fire would be likely to spread, between the 1st day of April and the 31st day of October in any year with out first having obtained permission in writing from the Fire Chief of the Tiverton and District Fire Department and/or the Town of Kincardine Fire Department. 3. That the Fire Chief of the Tiverton and District Fire Department and/or the Town of Kincardine Fire Department, be authorized to issue permits for the Township of Kincardine in respect of starting fires. 4. Any person who contravenes this By-Law is guilty of an offence and a summary conviction is liable to a fine of not more than $ 5, 000 . 00 recoverable under the provincial Offences Act. . 5. That all By-Laws previously passed in respect to lighting of fires in the open are hereby repealed.
