CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF KINCARDINE i " ii I: I' Ii " Ii ¡i Ii Ii Ii !j Ii Ii !; i ~ 11 1: ¡ ~ BY-LAW NO. 94-31 A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NO. 94-26, BEING A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE SIGNING OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF KINCARDINE TO ADJUST THEIR MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES AS PROVIDED FOR UNDER THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARY NEGOTIATIONS ACT. WHEREAS the Counçi1 for The Corporation of the Township of Kincardine has entered into an Agreement with The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine to adjust their municipal boundaries as provided for under The Municipal Boundary Negotiations Act; q AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Township of Kincardine deems it expedient to affix an additional Schedule to the Agreement; ,,} :1 ~ ] .; 1; NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Township of Kincardine ENACTS as follows: it ;1 1. THAT the attached "Property Tax Impact Report" be hereby denoted as "Appendix B" to the Annexation Agreement and be hereby attached to the Agreement as "Appendix B". I, " j :! ¡¡ 2. THAT the Reeve or Deputy Reeve and Clerk-Treasurer be and are hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the Corporation to affix their initials to the said "Appendix B" which will form part of the Annexation Agreement. This by-law may be cited as the "Kincardine Township-Town Boundary Agreement Amendment By-law". Page 5 TAX IMPACT PROPOSAL Due to the substantial tax impact to the ratepayers currently located within the Township of Kincardine and who will, following the boundary adjustment, be located within the Town of Kincardine, a grant will be given to those ratepayers which will mitigate the tax adjustment over Ii ten-year period. This will apply to taxable property only, and will not include properties subject to a grant-in-lieu of taxation (Le. govermnent-owned property).
