THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KINC INE
BY-LAW
NO. 2004 - 180
BEING A BY-LAW TO ACCEPT A TENDER TO PURCHASE A SOU D SYSTEM FOR
THE DAVIDSON CENTRE FOR KINCARDINE AND DISTRIC ARENA
(Ernie King Music (1993) Ltd.)
WHEREAS the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25 Section 11 (2) P ovides that lower-
tier municipalities may pass by-laws within the sphere of jurisdiction of culture, parks,
recreation and heritage;
AND WHEREAS the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25 Sections 8 and 9 (1) provides
municipalities with powers of a natural person to enable them to gov m their affairs as
they consider appropriate and to enhance their ability to respond to mu icipal issues;
AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine deems
it necessary to purchase a sound system for the arena at The D vidson Centre for
Kincardine and District;
AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine deems
it expedient to accept a tender to purchase a sound system from Ernie King Music (1993)
Ltd. of Wing ham, Ontario;
NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Municip lity of Kincardine
ENACTS as follows:
1. That the tender of Ernie King Music (1993) Ltd. for the pu hase of a sound
system for the arena at The Davidson Centre for Kincardine and District in the
amount of $10,137.00, plus all applicable taxes, be herebyac pted.
2.
That the Mayor and CAO be hereby authorized to sign, on b half of the Council
for The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine any c ntracts and other
documents required to authorize such purchase.
3. This by-law shall come into full force and effect upon its final p ssage.
4. This by-law may be cited as the "Davidson Centre Soun System Tender
Acceptance By-law".
