HomeMy WebLinkAboutKIN 81 4367 Employ Fringe Benef · · · THE CORPORATION OF THE TOìVN OF KINCARDINE BY-LA'.'J NO. 4367 BEING A BY-LAW TO ESTABLISH PERSONNEL POLICIES for all employees except members of the Kincardine Police Association. NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the TO"ffi of Kincardine ENACTS as follov¡s: 1. AN~roAL VACATIONS: The Corporation's vacation plan for employees provides: (i) Two weeks vacation after one full year of service. (ii) Three 1~eks vacation after five full years of service. (iii) Four v~eks vacation after ten full years of service. (iv) Five "reeks vacation after t1~nty full years of service. In determining eligibility for vacations, the employees' anniversa~J date shall be used. 2. PAID HOLIDAYS: All employees shall 1. New Year's Day 2. Good Friday 3. Easter Monday I¡., Victoria Day 5. Ontario Health Tnsurance Plan: The Corporation will pay 100% of the cost of O. H. I. P. for each full time employee VIDO participates in the plan. B~LØNO. 4367 -2- 4. Extended Health Care: The Corporation will pay 100% of the cost of the Extended Health Care plan for each full-time employee who participates in the plan. · 5. Dental Plan: Dental Plan coverage will be an optional benefit for those employees wishing to enroll in the plan. Dental Plan coverage will be paid 50% by the Town. Employees will state in writing their option. · 6. Shift Differential: Employees at the Community Centre will receive a shift differential rate of 20¢ per hour for hours worked after 1600 hours and before OgoO hours. The new rate to be effective retro-active to January 1st, 1981. 7. Life Insurance: Employees will receive insurance coverage of $15,000.00 minimum or twice their salary (rounded to the closest $1,000.) to a maximum of $30,000.00. The Town will pay 100% of the life insurance coverage. 8. Sick Leave Plan: Every full-time employee who has completed a minimum of nine months service shall be entitled to twenty-one days of sick leave per year. Unused portions will be accumulated. · 9. Compassionate Leave: That each full-time employee of the Corporation shall be allowed up to a maximum of three days off for compassionate leave due to the death of a member of the immediate family, being the father, mother, brother, sister, son or daughter of either member of the employee or his or her spouse. · 10. Overtime: Employees of the Works Department and Community Centre being paid on an hourly basis will receive time and one half (It) his or her hourly rate for any part or hour thereof in excess of the said forty hour week. Clothin.e: Allowance: Works Department Employees and Community Centre Maintenance employees will be supplied with the necessary coverals and Community Centre office staff supplied with one necessary smock. The Building Custodians will be given the option of being supplied with pants and shirt. e 12. Safety Boot Allowance: Works Department employees, Community Centre maintenance employees, Ronald Boulton and Pattie Huber will receive an annual boot allowance of $70.00. It is a condition of employment that the above employees wear safety shoes at all times while on duty except Patti Huber while on duty in the pool area. . 13. Ni.e:ht Meetin.e:s: The employee attending night meetings as Secretary to the following Boards, etc. will receive $20.00 per night effective from the passing of this By-law: Kincardine & District Rec. & C.C. Lon.!!: Term Disability: The Corporation will pay 100% of the cost of monthly premiums for all employees. The monthly benefit is 60% of monthly earnings to a maximum of $1,500.00 per month. . 15. UnemplOYment Insurance Premium Reduction Plan: The benefits of the Unemployment Insurance Premium Reduction Plan is incorporated into the other municipal fringe benefits included above.
