This home is one of the first houses built in Kincardine in 1868.
The construction is barn framed with 10" x 12" hand cut beams
providing the main wall and floor support. Mortise and tenon
joints are prevalent throughout the house. The exterior walls
have double pine board sheeting with a wood siding covering. The
interior has a single pine sheeting covered with lath and
plaster. The house is of Vernacular clapboard construction and
design and due to its age and fine condition, the L.A.C.A.C.
deems it worthy of designation.
