BY-LAW NO. 1987-5
SCHEDULE "B"
REASONS: This house is an early Ontario vernacular or
combination of styles of the era. It was believed to
have been the home of Mr. James Henry, Kincardine's
original pathmaster, and to have served as a stage
coach depot. Restoration work on the house is well
done and in keeping with the period. The following are
the significant features of the building:
the structure and brick work as a whole; the
fancy barge board trim on the eaves and gable
ends; the dormer windows with decorative headers;
the plank and screen front door; stain glass
transom; and the widow's walk and stairway.
