BY-LAW
BY-LAW NO. 1990 - 2
BEING A BY-LAW TO DESIGNATE THE HOME AND BARN OF PETER
AND PATRICIA RICHARDS AT 806 HURON TERRACE AS BEING OF
HISTORIC OR ARCHITECTURAL VALUE.
WHEREAS the Ontario Heritage Act, 1980, authorizes the council of
a municipality to enact by-laws to designate real property
including all the buildings and structures thereon. to be of
historic or architectural value and interest;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the ~own of
Kincardine has caused to be served on the owner of the lands and
premises known as the home and barn of Peter and patricia Richards
at 806 Huron 'J.'errace and upon the Ontario Heritage Foundation
notices of intention to so designate the aforesaid real property
and has caused such notice of intention to be published in a
newspaper having general circulation in the municipality once for
each of four consecutive weeks;
AND WHEREAS the reasons for designation are set out in Schedule "B"
hereto;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of 'i'he corporation of the l'own of
Kincardine ENACTS as follows:

Richards at 806 Huron 1errace.
2. 'i'he clerk is hereby authorized to cause a copy of this By-law
to be registered against the property described in Schedule
"A" hereto in the proper land registry office.
3. The clerk is hereby authorized to cause a copy of the By-law
to be served upon the owner of the aforesaid property and upon
the Ontario Heritage Foundation and to cause notice of this
By-law to be published in a newspaper having general
circulation in the Town of Kincardine

SCHEDULE FOR DESCRIPTION
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land, situate,
lying and being in the Town of Kincardine, County of Bruce and
being composed of Part 2 of registered plan 3R-3998 on the west
side of Huron ~errace, 'J.own of Kincardine, County of Bruce.

SCHEDULE "B"
BY-LAW NO. 1990 - 2
REASONS:
i~e house at S06 Huron Terrace is a victorian-Queen Anne Style
red brick two-storey house and was built in 1912 by John Mills for
Samuel Farrell. The brick for the house came from the Paisley
brick-works. the barn behind the house was used to keep the horses
Mr. Farrell used for the delivery of mail in Kincardine. He sorted
the mail in the loft above the stable.
