THE CORPORATION OF TH E TOWN OF KI NCARDINE
BY-LAW
BY-LAW NO. 1990-53
A BY-LAW TO PROHIBIT DOGS AND OTHER ANIMALS ON
BEACHES IN THE TOWN OF KINCARDINE.
WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of Kincardine controls certain
lands in the Town of Kincardine along Lake Huron which are used as
public beaches.
AND WHEREAS Kincardine Town Council wishes to restrict all animals
from certain beaches in the Town of Kincardine.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Kincardine (hereinafter called the Council;) ENACTS as follows:
1. In this by-law, beaches shall be defined as: Station Beach
running west of Huron Terrace, south of the penetangore river
and north of Kincardine Avenue and the beaches running west
of the Saugeen Street allowance north of the penetangore River
and South of Durham Street.
2. In this by-law, the word "animal" as used herein shall
include, but not be restricted to, a male or female dog.
3. No person shall take or permit any animal owned or controlled
by such a person upon the beaches in the Town of Kincardine
between May 15th to October 1st of each year.
4. Any person violating any of the provisions of this by-law is
guilty of an offence and is liable on conviction for a fine
not exceeding five hundrend dollars (500.00) exclusive oi
costs, and every such fine is recoverable under the Provincial
Offences Act.
5. This by-law may be enforced by the Kincardine Police Service
and the Town of Kincardine by-law enforcement officers.
6. The Public Works Department shall install signs advising the
public of the restrictions in this by-law.
7. . This by-law shall come into full force and effect upon its
final passage.
8. By-law 1990-37 passed on the 21st day of June 1990 is hereby
repealed.

9. This by-law may be cited as the "Prohibit Animals on Beaches
By-law.
