BY-LAW BY-LAW NO. 1992-48 A BY-LAW TO REGULATE COASTING AND RIDING OF VEHICLES PROPELLED BY MUSCULAR POWER IN THE TOWN OF KINCARDINE. WHEREAS section 210, subsections 105 and 106, of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.M.45, permit the councils of local municipalities to pass by-laws for prohibiting or regulating the coasting or tobogganing on the highways and for prohibiting children from riding on the platforms of cars, or riding behind or getting on wagons, sleighs or other vehicles while in motion, and for preventing accidents arising from such causes; AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine deems it expedient to regulate such matters; NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine ENACTS as follows: 1. THAT no person shall operate any self-propelled device equipped with wheels less than thirteen (13) centimetres in diameter such as skateboards, roller skates, roller blades or such other device on the highways, boulevards, sidewalks and parking lots on Queen street from Durham Market South to Broadway. 2. section vehicle similar 1 of this by-law does not apply to any device required for medical reasons such as walkers devices. or or Every person who contravenes any provisions of by-law is guilty of an offence and is subject to penalties as prescribed in the Provincial Offences R.S.O. 1990, c.P.33. 4.
