THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KINC INE

BY-LAW
NO. 2004 -167
BEING A BY-LAW TO ACCEPT A TENDER TO PURCHASE STANDBY
GENERATOR FOR THE TIVERTON FIRE STATI N
(Albrecht's Engine Service)
WHEREAS Section 2 of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1 97 S.O. 1997,
c.4 as amended, requires municipalities to establish a fire depart ent;
AND WHEREAS Section 5 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 200 ,c. 25 provides
that municipal powers be exercised by by-law;
AND WHEREAS pursuant to the said Municipal Act, Sections 8 a d 9 (1) provide
municipalities with the powers of a natural person to enable the to govern their
affairs as they consider appropriate under this or any other Act;
AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Municipal ty of Kincardine
deems it necessary to purchase a standby generator for the Tive n Fire Station;
AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Municipal of Kincardine
deems it expedient to accept a tender to supply and install Perkins 75kw
generator from Albrecht's Engine Service in the amount of $33,3 6.59, including
taxes;
NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Municipality of
Kincardine ENACTS as follows:
That the tender of Albrecht's Engine Service for the supply and installation
of a Perkins 75kw generator in the amount of $33,316.59, including taxes,
be hereby accepted.
2. That the Mayor and CAO be hereby authorized to sign, n behalf of the
Council for The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardi e any contracts
and other documents required to authorize such purchase.

3. This by-law shall come into full force and effect upon its fin I passage.
4. This by-law may be cited as the "Tiverton Fire Station Sta dby Generator
Tender Acceptance, By-law".
