HomeMy WebLinkAboutKIN 92 079 Cls Queen St. Constr . . THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF KINCARDINE BY-LAW BY-LAW NO. 1992-79 A BY-LAW TO CLOSE PART OF QUEEN STREET FOR CONSTRUCTION. WHEREAS The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine has authorized construction on part of Queen Street which is a public highway opened for public use; AND WHEREAS Subsection 208(43) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, Chapter 302, as amended, authorizes the councils of all municipalities to close on a temporary basis any highway under the jurisdiction of the municipality for any period during the construction, repairing or improvement of such highway or portion thereof; NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine ENACTS as follows: 1. That part of Queen Street will be closed to local vehicular traffic during the period of construction authorized by By-law No. 1992-78. 2. That Queen Street from the bridge to Durham Street will be closed to local vehicular traffic during the period of construction authorized by By-Law No. 1992-78 The contractor shall provide and keep reasonable alternative temporary routes for all property owners who cannot obtain property by reason of such closing. 4. The contractor shall erect at each end of such highway or portion thereof, and where an alternative route deviates therefrom, a barricade upon which an adequate warning device shall be exposed and in good working order continuously from sunset until sunrise and at such points there shall be erected a detour sign indicating the alternative route and containing a notice that the highway is closed to traffic. 3. in repair all for traffic and access to their 5.
