HomeMy WebLinkAboutKIN 96 023 Amend No88 49-Sidwlk e - e - THE CORPORA TION OF THE TOWN OF KINCARDINE BY-LAW BY-LAW NO. 1996-23 A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NO. 1988-49, BEING A BY-LAW TO REGULATE THE USE OF MUNICIPAL SIDEWALKS ON MUNICIPAL ROAD ALLOWANCES IN THE TOWN OF KINCARDINE. WHEREAS By-law No. 1988-49, passed on the 21st day of July, 1988 regulates the use of municipal sidewalks on municipal road allowances in the Town of Kincardine; AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine deems it adviseable to amend By-law No. 1988-49 with respect to the display of advertising devices on sidewalks on municipal road allowances in the Town of Kincardine; NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine ENACTS as follows: 1. THAT Section 2 (a) of By-law No. 1988-49 be hereby deleted and replaced with the followig Section 2 (a): 2. Merchants may display merchandise and/or advertising devices (e.g. sandwich board signs) from their place of business on the road allowance immediately in front of their place of business provided that the merchandise and/or advertising device is: i) restricted to 76cm (30 in.) from the edge of the property line and a maximum height of 1.2 metres (4 ft.), ii) immediately in front of their place of business, and iii) on the Queen Street road allowance from Durham Market North to Durham Street or on the Lambton Street road allowance from Huron Terrace to Princes Street. i v} Such merchandise and/or advertising device shall only be displayed during normal business hours and shall not be displayed when the snow plows are in operation. 2 .
