"ò BY-LAW BY-LAW NO. 1996-61 BEING A BY-LAW TO DESIGNATE THE HOME OF ARTHUR WIEBE AT 796 PRINCES STREET AS BEING OF HISTORICAL OR ARCHITECTURAL VALUE e WHEREAS the Ontario Heritage Act authorizes the council of a municipality to to designate real property including all the structures thereon, to be of historic or value and interest; and, R.S.O. 1990 enact by-laws building and architectural WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine has caused to be served on the owner of the lands and premises known as the home of Arthur Wiebe, 796 Princes Street, Kincardine, and upon The Ontario Heritage Foundation notices of intention to so designate the aforesaid property and has caused such notice of intention to so designate the aforesaid real property to be published in a newspaper having general circulation in the municipality. WHEREAS the reasons for designation are set out in Schedule "B" hereto; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine ENACTS as follows: 1. There is designated as being of architectural value and interest and real property more particularly described in Schedule "A" hereto, known as the home of Arthur Wiebe, 796 Princes Street, Kincardine. e 2. The clerk is by-law to be in Schedule office. hereby authorized to cause a copy of this registered against the property described "A" hereto in the proper land registry 3. The clerk is hereby authorized to cause a copy of the by-law to be served upon the owner of the aforesaid property and upon the Ontario Heritage Foundation and to cause notice of this by-law to be published in a newspaper having general circulation in the Town of Kincardine. -- Page 2 By-law 1996-61 796 Princes Street Designation By-law . 4. The roof has slate shingles. Three interior fireplaces, each with a different hardwood mantle. Interior woodwork is largely of hardwood including cherry, white ash or chestnut and some maple. The cellar is full height, with fieldstone walls. Specific parts of this property which should be protected are: (1) Interior ash (or room, and woodwork, chestnut) parlour. particularly the cherry and white trim in the dining-room, living- (2) The doors (interior) are also of solid woods, with some thick veneer, and matching panels in the doors. e (3) The fireplace mantels, two of cherry, and one of mixed hardwoods.
