HomeMy WebLinkAboutKIN 96 069 Rdce Sze/Police Forc -e e e it THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF KINCARDINE BY-LAW BY-LAW NO. 1996-69 A BY-LAW TO REDUCE THE SIZE OF THE KINCARDINE POLICE SERVICES BOARD. WHEREAS the Kincardine called the 1978. Council for The Corporation of the Town of established a Police Services Board (hereinafter "Board") by By-law 4164 on the 3rd day of August, AND WHEREAS the composition of the Board now consists of two members of municipal council and three members appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council; AND WHEREAS the Kincardine Police Services Board passed resolution #40-95 on the 14th day of November, 1995 providing for the reduction in the size of the Board from five members to three; AND WHEREAS Section 27(4) of The Police Services Act, provides that the size of the Board for municipalities population does not exceed 25,000 may be three (one appointed by municipal council and two members appointed Lieutenant Governor in Council) ; 1990 whose member by the NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine ENACTS as follows: 1. The Kincardine Police Services Board for the Town of Kincardine shall, under authority of Section 27(4) of The Police Services Act, consist of the following: (a) the head of the municipal council, or council member appointed by resolution of the and another council; (b) two persons appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council. 2 .
