HomeMy WebLinkAboutKIN1929-994 Construction Debenturer BY -LAW N0, A By -Law to provide for borrowing $47403.21 upon debentures to pay for the construction of a pavement on Queen Street from the southerly limit of the taunicipal Hall to Broadway Street;on harbor street and Huron 'Terrace Street to the C.N.H.Station. WHEREAS pursuant to construction by -Lava number 977,passed on the 14th day of August 1926 a pavement with water -bound Macadam base and standardized top with curbing has been constructed on Queen Street in the 'Town of Kincardine from the north limit of Broadway Street to the southerly limit of the Kunicipal hall; AND WHEREAS pursuant to said construction by -law a pavement with concrete base and asphalt top has been constructed on Harbor Street in the said Tovrn of Kincardine from the east limit of Queen Street to Huron 'Terrace Street,on Huron 'Terrace Street from the north limit of Harbor Street to a point 100 feet north of the bridge over the Penstan- gore River and from a point 100 feet south of the said bridge to the south limit of Russell Street and on Russell Street from Huron 'Terrace Street to the property of the Canadian National Hailways,as Local improvements under the provisions of the Local improvement Act; AND WHEREAS the total cost of the work is 547,403.21 of which $34206ti0R is the Corporation's portion of the cost and $17,197,19 is the owners# portion of the oost,for which a Speoial Assessment Roll has been prepared and duly made and certified; AND WHERM the estimated life time of the work is twenty -one years; AND WRSREAS it is necessary to borrow the said sum of $47,403.21 on the credit of the Corporation and to issue debentures therefor bear- ing interest at the rate of five per oent per annum which is the amount of the debt intended to be created by this by -law; AND WHEREAS it is expedient to make the principal of the said debt repayable in yearly sums during the period of twenty years,of such amounts respectively that the aggregate amount payable for prin- cipal and interest in any one year shall be equal as nearly as may be to the amount 90 payable for principal and interest in each of the other years; I i f i A By -Law to provide for borrowing $47403.21 upon debentures to pay for the construction of a pavement on Queen Street from the southerly limit of the taunicipal Hall to Broadway Street;on harbor street and Huron 'Terrace Street to the C.N.H.Station. (2) The debentures shall all bear the same date and shall be issued within two years after the day on which this by -law is passed and may bear arty date within such two years and shall be payable in twenty annual instalments during the twenty years next after the time UkK i. when the same are issued and the respective amounts of principal and interest payable in each of such years shall be as follows; - NO. (4) The Mayor and Treasurer of the Corporation shall sign and issue the debentures and the Treasurer of the Corporation shall sign the interest coupons and the debentures shall be sealed with the seal of the Corporation. (6) The debentures may contain any clause providing for the registra- tion thereof authorized by axe statute relating to Municipal Debent- ores in force at the time of the issue thereof. (7) The amount of the loan authorized by this by -law may be coneolidat - ad with the amount of any loans authorized by other Local Improvement by- laws�by including the same with such other loans in a consolidating by -law authorizing the borrowing of the aggregate thereof as one loan and the issue of debentures for such loan in one consecutive issue, pursuant to the provisions of the statute in that behalf.
