Whereas George A. Conley and others have petitioned the
Council to construct, as a local improvement, the work berein.
after described, and the Clerk has certified that the petition
is sufficient and it is•ezpedieat to grant the prayer of the
petition in manner hereinafter provided.

enacts as follows:

on the north aide of Durham Street, between Huron Terrace Street
and the western boundary of Ira. Helena Cameron's property (Lot .

the provisions of The Local Improvement Act,

work, and that the Clerk do forthwith make snob plane, profiles
and epeoifiaationeg and furnish snob information as may be
necessary for the making of a contract for the execution of the
work.
8 Us work shall be carried on under the superintendenae
and according to the directions and orders of snob Engineer.
4 The Diayor end Clerk are authorised to cause a contract
for the construction of the work to be made and entered into
with some person or persons, firm or corporation, subject to
the approval of this corporation to be declared by resolution.
b The Tessurer may (Subject to the approval of the Council)
agree with any rank or person for temporary advances of money
to meet the cost of the work pending the completion of it.

q The debentures to be issued for the loan to be effected to
pay for the cost of the sort when completed shill bear interest
at Soper sent, per annum and be payable within years
on the instalment plan and in settling the sum to be raised
annually to pay the debt the rats of interest on investments
shall not be estimated at more than four per pent. per annum.
I lay person whose lot is specially assessed may commute
for payment in cash the special rates imposed thereon by paying
the portion of the coat of oonstruation assessed upon such lot
without the interest forthwith*& after the Special Assessment
Roll has been certified by the Clerk. and st any time thereafter
by the payment of such sum so when invested at four per pent.
per annum will provide an annuity sufficient to pay the special
rates for the unexpired portion of the term as they fall due.
