For granting a bonus by way of par.
tial exemption from taxes to The
Andrew Malcolm Furniture Core.

WIIEREAS the Corporation of the '
Town.of Kincardine did by its by-law
No. 441, passed the 13th day of Jan-
uary, A. ll. 1002, grant to Andrew i
Malcolm and his successors and as=
signs, exemption from all sums of
Municipal Taxes over the amount of
$876.00 or of the yearlyy rate for
school taxes, whichever sliould bo the

and premises used by him In carrying
on his business as a furniture munu-
facturer, namely„ Lots 13, 16 and 17,
Lambton street north, unit let 13 an

In said Town of Kincardine, and the
buildings thereon, and the stock,
plant and machinery used In carrying
AND WHEREAS said term has
expired,
AND WHEREAS it is expedient In
the interests of the Municipality to
grant the bonus hereinafter mentioned
for the promotion of manufactures in
the Municipality;
AND WHEREAS in his application
for said on Innl bonus said Andrew
Malcolm made certain representations
and agreements to be performed by
him in consideration of said bonus,
and the said company, his successors,
now agree to carry out amt fulfill the
game;
AND WHEREAS the said factory

now operated by the Andrew Mul-
olm Furniture Company, Limited;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED
by the Municipal Council of the Cor-
poration.of the Town of Mneardine:
1. For the purposes mentioned is
the preamble the following property,
that it to say, Lots 13, 16 and 17,
Lambton street north and Lot 13 on
the south side of Durham street, all
in the said Town of Kincnrdine, anti
the buildings thereon, and the plant,
machinery and stock, used in carrying
on said business, and said business, i
''shall, for a period of ten years from ;
the 31st day of December, A. D. 1021,
be exempt from payment of all Mun-
iclpal taxes in excess of a fixed
sum of $600.00, provided that
if In any year of said tens
the sum
payable in respect of said
property for school purposes and local
improvements shall exceed said sum
of $600.00 then the full amount pay-
able for school taxes or rates and
local improvements shall be paid In

2. That from and out of said sum of
$600.00 shall be paid in full all school
taxes and local improvement rates

TAKE NOTICE that the foregoing

ing thereof to be held after the ex-
piration of one month from the date
of the first publication of this notice
and that such first publication was
male on the eighth day of December,
A. D. 1021.

a tenant who desires to vote upon
such proposed by -law must deliver
to the Clerk, not later than the tenth
day before the day appoint&] for +
