HomeMy WebLinkAboutKIN 97 002 Amends No. 93 40 Pro · · · · THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF KINCARDINE BY-LAW BY-LAW NO. 1997-02 A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NO. 1993-40 BEING A BY-LAW TO ESTABLISH VARIOUS PROCEDURES FOR THE TOWN OF KINCARDINE. WHEREAS By-law No. 1993-40, being a by-law to establish various procedures for the Town of Kincardine was adopted on the 5th day of August, 1993; AND WHEREAS By-Law No. 1995-25 to amend By-Law No. 1993-40 was adopted on the 20th day of April, 1995; AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine deems it expedient to further amend By-Law No. 1993-40 to provide for penalties for breaching of the confidentiality provisions of By-Law No. 1993-40; NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine ENACTS as follows: 1. THAT By-Law No. 1993-40, as amended, be further amended by renumbering Section 26.0 as Section 27.0, and by inserting therein the following as Section 26.0: 26.1 All information, documentation or deliberations received, reviewed or taken in a closed meeting is confidential. 26.2 No member shall release or make public any information considered at a closed meeting, or discuss the content of such meeting with persons other than members of councilor relevant staff members, without the authorization of council. 26.3 Any member who contravenes subsection 26(2) shall be deemed not to be acting in the interest of, on behalf of, or with the authority of the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine. 26.4 Any member who contravenes subsection 26(2) is guilty of an offence and upon conviction is liable to a fine or penalty as provided for in the Provincial Offences Act. 26.5 Despite subsection convicted of a 26 (2) if the inadvertence. 26 (4), no member shall be contravention of subsection contravention was through . . . /2 · · · · By-Law 1997-02 Page 2 1.
