THE TOWN OF KINCARDINE
A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW 1992-48 BEING A BY-LAW TO
REGULATE THE COASTING AND RIDING OF VEHICLES
PROPELLED BY MUSCULAR POWER IN THE TOWN OF KINCARDINE
WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine enacted By-law
1992-48 on the 23rd day of July, 1992, to regulate the coasting and riding of muscular
powered devices;
AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine deems it
expedient to amend By-law 1992-48 in order to regulate the use of bicycles on certain
sections of sidewalks in the Town of Kincardine;
NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine
ENACTS as follows:
THAT the following be inserted after section number 1 in By-law 1992-48 and that all
subsequent sections be numbered accordingly:
1.
That no person shall operate a bicycle, with a wheel base measuring more than 30
centimetres (12 inches), on the sidewalks of Queen Street (both sides) from the
intersection of Durham Market South to the intersection of Broadway Street.
2. That every person who contravenes any provision of this by-law is guilty of an
offence and is subject to the penalties as prescribed in the Provincial offences Act,
R.S.O. 1990, c.P.33.
3. That this by-law shall come into full force and effect on its final passing.
4. That this by-law may be cited as the "Muscular Powered Vehicle, Amendment
By-law" .

READ a THIRD time and FINALLY PASSED this 1 ih day of September, 1998.
