OF THE CORPORATION OF
THE TOWN OF KINCARDINE
A BY-LAW TO ADOPT THE ESTIMATES OF ALL SUMS REQUIRED DURING
THE YEAR TO STRIKE THE RATES OF TAXATION FOR THE YEAR 1998
WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Town of Kincardine in accordance
with the Municipal Act, considered the estimates of the municipality and of the boards of
the municipality and it is necessary that the following sums be raised by means of
taxation for the year 1997:

AND WHEREAS the amount of assessment entitled to benefit, hereinafter referred to as
Residential and Farm, Commercial, Farmlands, Industrial, Multi-Residential and
Shopping Centre are as follows:

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Kincardine
ENACTS as follows:
1. TRA T the estimates be adopted and there shall be levied and collected upon the
assessable lands, buildings and businesses within the Corporation of the Town of
Kincardine the following rates for the year 1998:

2) The dates for payment of taxes under this By-Law shall be as follows:
DUE DATE of 4th installment
August 21 st, 1998
September 15th, 1998
October 15th, 1998
DUE DATE of 5th installment
DUE DATE of 6th installment

A percentage charge of one and one-quarter (1.25%) shall be imposed as a penalty
for non-payment of and shall be added to every tax installment or part thereof
remaining unpaid on the first day following the last day of payment of each such
installment and thereafter an additional percentage charge of one and one-quarter
(1.25%) shall be imposed and shall be added to every such tax installment or part
thereof remaining unpaid on the first day of each calendar month in which default
continues up to and including December of each year.
4. This By-law may be cited as the "1998 Taxation By-law".
READ a FIRST, SECOND and THIRD time and FINALLY PASSED this
23rd day of July, 1998.
