THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KINCAIfINE
BY-LAW
NO. 2003 - 42
BEING A BY·LAW TO PRESCRIBE A RATE OF SPEED FPR MOTOR
VEHICLES ON VICTORIA STREET, INVERHUR(þN,
MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE .

WHEREAS The Municipal Act, 2001, S.D. 2001, c. 25 Section ~ 1 (2) authorizes
municipalities to pass by-laws respecting matters within the sphþre of jurisdiction
of highways, including parking and traffic on highways; I

AND WHEREAS the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8~ 128 (2) and (3)
allows that municipalities may, for motor vehicles driven o~ a portion of a
highway under its jurisdiction, by by-law, prescribe a rate lof speed of 40
kilometres per hour; I

AND WHEREAS The Council of The Corporation of th~ Municipality of
Kincardine deems it expedient to prescribe a speed limit of 40 kilometres per
hour on Victoria Street, Inverhuron, Municipality of Kincardine;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of th~ Municipality of
Kincardine ENACTS as follows:

That the speed limit of Victoria Street, Inverhuron~ Municipality of
Kincardine, be restricted to 40 kilometres per hour þeginning at the
intersection of Cayley Street with Victoria Street in Ward 3 and continuing
to its southerly limit in Ward 2. ¡
1.
Any person violating the provisions of this by-law is gu Ity of an offence
and subject to the penalties as prescribed in the Highway Traffic Act 1990.
3. This by-law shall come into full force and effect upon its firal passing.

4. This by-law may be cited as the ''Victoria Street Speed Lt' it By-Law".
