MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE (Davidson - Hill Elevator Inc.) WHEREAS the Municipal Act. 2001, S.D. 2001, c. 25 Section 1 (2) authorizes municipalities to pass by-laws respecting matters within the sphe e of jurisdiction of culture, parks, recreation and heritage; AND WHEREAS the Municipal Act, 2001, S.D. 2001,c.25 Secti ns 8 and 9 (1) provides municipalities with powers of a natural person to enable them to govern their affairs as they consider appropriate under this or any 0 er Act and to enhance their ability to respond to municipal issues; AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Municipal ty of Kincardine by its adoption of Resolution #2004 - 110 supports the installatio of an elevator at the Municipal Arts Facility located at 707 Queen Street in th Municipality of Kincardine: AND WHEREAS the Kincardine Arts Centre Committee hJ solicited and received bids for the supply and installation of an elevator at the ¡KinCardine Arts Centre; I AND WHEREAS Bluewater Summer Playhouse has made pplication and received approval for a Trillium Grant in the amount of $45 000.00 for the installation of an elevator at the Municipal Arts Centre: AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Municipali of Kincardine deems it expedient to accept a proposal for the supply and in tallation of an elevator at the Kincardine Arts Centre; NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine ENACTS as follows: 1. That the proposal of Davidson - Hill Elevator Inc. for \he supply and installation of an elevator, in the amount of $57,427.00. exc uding taxes, as outlined in Schedule "A" attached to this by-law, be hereby ccepted.
