THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE
BY-LAW
NO. 2005 - 170
BEING A BY·LAW TO ACCEPT A TENDER TO PURCHASE METAL HALIDE
PULSE START FIXTURES, POLES AND BASE LAMPS
FOR THE TIVERTON WALK OF MEMORIES
(Grey Bruce Electric Inc.)
WHEREAS the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25 Section 11 (2) authorizes
municipalities to pass by-laws respecting matters within the sphere of jurisdiction of
culture, par1<s, recreation and heritage;
AND WHEREAS pursuant to the said Municipal Act, Sections 8 and 9 (1) provide
municipalities with the powers of a natural person to enable them to govem their affairs
as they consider appropriate under this or any other Act and to enhance their ability to
respond to municipal issues;
AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine has
determined that outdoor lighting is required in the Walk of Memories located in the
former Village of Tiverton in the Municipality of Kincardine;
AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine
deems it expedient to accept a tender to purchase 14 - 100 watt metal halide pulse start
fixtures, poles and base lamps from Grey Bruce Electric Inc. at a unit price of $1,667.25,
exclusive of taxes to provide lighting for the Walk of Memories;
NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine
ENACTS as follows:
1. That the tender of Grey-Bruce Electric Inc. for the purchase of 14 - 100 watt metal
halide pulse start fixtures, poles and base lamps, in the amount of $1,667.25 per
unit, exclusive of taxes, be hereby accepted.
2. That the Mayor and CAO be hereby authorized to sign, on behalf of the Council for
The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine any contracts and other documents
required to authorize the purchase.
3. This By-law shall come into full force and effect upon its final passage.
4. This By-law may be cited as the ·Walk of Memories Lighting (Grey-Bruce Electric)
Tender Acceptance By-law".
READ a FIRST, SECOND, and THIRD time and FINALLY PASSED this 19111 day of
October, 2005.
