HomeMy WebLinkAbout23 105 2023 Budget Amendment (1) By-lawTHE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE BY-LAW NO. 2023 – 105 Being a By-law to Amend By-law No. 2023 – 036; being a By-law Adopt the Estimates of all Sums Required During the Year 2023 Whereas Section 290 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, as amended, provides that for each year, a local municipality shall, in the year or the immediately preceding year, prepare and adopt a budget including estimates of all sums required during the year for the purposes of the municipality; and Whereas the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine, with passage of By-law No. 2023 - 036, adopted the estimates of all sums required during the year 2023; and Whereas the Council of The Municipality of Kincardine deems it deems it necessary to amend the Operating and Capital Budget budget as per: 1) Resolution #05/15/23-09 Parks Master Plan increase scope from $25,000 to $55,000 funded 50/50 by Parks and Recreation Development Charges RF80 and Recreation RF72; 2) Resolution #05/08/23-19 Roof Projects- fund the $1,220 overage of the High Lift buildings (9514) from Water RF68 and the $3,170 overage of BEC roof replacement (9489) from the Sewer RF67; 3) Resolution #04/12/23-15 Fleet purchases: overages of $24,987 funded by Lifecycle RF82 (projects 9281, 9284, 9042), $16,658 funded from Building Permit RF73 (projects 9285, 9290) and $8,329 funded by Water RF68 (project 9507); 4) Resolution #06/05/23-11 update the funding component of the Queen St sewer replacement project (9464) to be debt funded in the amount of $4,556,500; and 5) Resolution #06/12/23-04 add Birchwood Public Walkway Improvements to the capital budget in the amount of $20,000; now therefore be it Resolved that the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine Enacts as follows: 1. That Schedule ‘A’ 2023 Operating Budget Summary of By-law No. 2023 – 036 be repealed and replaced with the Attached Schedule ‘A’. 2. That Schedule ‘B’ 2023 Capital Budget Summary of By-law No. 2023 – 036 be repealed and replaced with the attached Schedule ‘B’. 3. That By-law shall come into full force and effect upon its final passage. 4. That By-law may be cited as the “2023 Budget Amendment (1) By-law”. Read a First and Second Time this 19th day of June, 2023. Read a Third Time and Finally Passed this 19th day of June, 2023.
