WHEREAS it is considered desirable, in order to contro adequately
the d~y~lopment of certain areas within the Township of Bru e, that länd,
before it is conveyed, shall !;e included in a registered pl n of
subdbision.
AND WHEREAS Section 24 of The Plannin~ Act, 1955, provi es as
follows:-
24- (1) The council of a municipality may by By-law designa1;e
any area within the municipality as an area of subdivision c ntrol,
and thereafter no person shall convey land in the area by wa of a
deed or transfer on any sale, or enter into an agreement of sale
and purchase of land in the area, or enter into any agreeme that
has the effect of granting the use of or right in land in t e area
directly or by ent;itlement to renewal for a period of twent -one
years or more, unless the land is described in accordance w hand
is within a registered plan of subdivision, and the council ay, in
the by-law, desir,nate a registered plan of subdivision or p rt
thereof which shall be deemed not to be a registered plan 0 subdiv-
ision for the purposes of this subsection.
(2) The By-law may provide that where land is,
(a) wit.hin a registered plan of suhdivision;
-or-
(b) within a registered plan of subdivision,
or a part thereof, designated in the By-l
no person shall convey a parI; of any lot or ¡·lock of the 1 d by
way of a deed or transfer on any sale, or enter into an agr ement
of sale and purchase of a part of any lot or block of the 1 nd, or
enter into any agreement; that, has i.he effect of granting th use of
or right in a part of any lot or "lock of the land directly or by
entitler;¡ent to r,mewal for a period of twenty-one years or ~ ore; and
when the By-law contains any such provision, no person shal contravene
the provision.
(3) Nothing in subsection 1 or 2 prohibits any con eyance or

(4) Two certified copies of the By-law shall be lod ed in the
office of I,he IUnister where they shall be avai.}.a1:>le for public
inspection during office hours, and the By-law shall be egistered
in the proper registry office where it shall be made avai able to
the puhlic as a production.
(5) Where a registered plan of subdivision or a part thereof
is deemed under the By-law not to be a registered plan 0 subdiv-
ision, the clerk of the municipality shall, within ten da s after
the By-law is passed, send notice of the passing of the B -law by
mail to the last known address of each person appearing b the
last revised assessment roll to be the owner of land with"n the
plan of subdivision or part.
(6) Where the By-law contains provision authorized b
section 2; the clerk of the municipality shall, within te
after the By-law is passed, send notice of the passing of

(B) Every person who contravenes this section is gui ty of
an offence and on summary conviction is liable to a penal y of
not ,Jore than $500.;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town hiplof
Bruce, hereby enacts as follows:
1. The following described area is hereby designated as an area
of subdivision control to he known as Area of Subdivision Control
Numbèr One, in accordance with section 24 of The Planning Act 1955;
which area is more particularly described as follows, sit ate lying
and being in the Township of Bruce, County of Bruce and bing
