BE IT THZIŒFORE ENACTED and it is hereby ena ted by the liuni cipal
aounci1 of the Town of Kincardine as follows;--
I. Ho hawker or :peddler, in his own behalf or a ting on behalf of a
dealer, who does not raside in or who does not pa' business tax in the
liuni,cipali ty in which the grower, producer or man facturer resides,
sh.all hawk or peddle or QO so or carI"J on his tr' de or business wi thin
the liunicipa1ity of the Town of Y~ncardine unless he shall have first
obtained a license so to do.
2. The Provisions of this By-Law shall not appl to the following;
for hawking, peddling or selling goods, ,wares or ,ercb.a.ndise,
(I) To wllOlesale or ¡'ctail dealers· in sLDila' goods, wares or roer-
chandise, or
érr) If the goods, \1¡aresor ¡¡¡<arcb.andise a:.:e g' own, prod.uced or
manufactured. in Ontario arid lire ~lawked., peddled O' sold b~r the grower,
producer or manufacturer or his asent or em]loyee havir~ written auth-
ority so to do. in the lIunici¡m.lity in -.-¡hich the ¡'ower, )?rod.ucer or
Manufacturer resides or
(III) If the goods, \'lares or ~ercha~dise are grown or produced by
a farner resident in Ontario wlw offe:cs for sale r sells only the pro-
dUCe of his own farm, or
(IV) If the goods, wares or Eerchandise are hawlted, pedd.lea. or
sold by a person who pays business tax in the Mun cipality, or by his
employee or by his agent, or
(V) If the goods, wares or Llerchandise are á\7ke.d, peddled or sold

by an agent of the grower, producer or manufac urer, acting on behalf
of a dealer who pays business tax in the Munic pa1ity in respect of
premises used for theSa1e of such goods, wares or merChill1dise.
3. The fee which shall be paid for such licen e shall be $50.00.
4. The í'reasurer of the Town of Kincardine sh 11 issue such 1icanses.
5. Eaoh license shall be for the full term of one year to run from
the date of its issue and slill1l be marked with the date of its ex-
piration. No license shall be issued for a 1e s term than the term
of one year.
6. Every person who is guilty of a contravent on of this By-Law shall
incur a penalty not exceeding $50.00 r8coverab e under the Summary
Oonvictions Aot and in default, imprisoru~ent n t exceeding six months,
as provided for by Section 492, Ohapter 243. R vised Statutes of
Ontario 1950.
7. ¡\ny fees imposed upon any offender under tIe Provisions of this
by-law shall be paid over to the Treasurer of he Town of Kincardine
for the use of the said Town.
