HOW THEREFORE 'I'D COURCIL OF THE CORPORATI If OF THE
'1'0" OF IINCARDIIIE enacts as follows:
1. By-Law ]Jo. 20$0 is hereby allended by the a option
and inclusion therein of section 26 - Sche ule G of
the Canadian Cod.. for Residential Construc
(Residential Staadards) which sectiDD. read as follows:

1) Reflective surfaces of insulating material shall not
be considered iacalealat.;iDg the the1'll8.l 1" istaace of
build.iDg assellblies in areas where the lie annual
total degree days exceed a, 000.

2) , frame wall supported on a masoary or co crete
foundation wall shall be . inJ)1lated betwee the top of
the masonry or concrete and the floor con truction
above, iacluding the space between the jo sts.
3) Where garages are to be heated during the winter months,
insuJation shall be incerporated iato the exterior
walls, ceiling or roof assembly of the ga ge and the
construction separatiDg the garage from a unit.
Except where the separating wall is the
foundation wall, it need not be insulated portion
exposed to the garage is 3 ft. eight.

4) In buildings in which there is no dwellin
a.other dwelliDg unit, the over-all coeff
thermal resistaace for iBsulated walls, c lings and
floors, excludiag doors and windows, for c nstructions
described. iB Sections 20,23,24 and 25 sha conform to
Table 26A. For cøastructions other than 10 ose described
in Sections 20,23,24 and 25, Table 26A sha 1 also apply
except that the authority baving jurisdict on may accept
a lover value of thermal resistance where his is
justified on the basis of economic cons ide ations.
