I WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Tqwn of Kincardine in accordance with the Municipal Act consideredithe estimates of the Municipality and of the Boards of the Munic~pality and it is necessary that the following sums be raised by t$.eans of taxation for the year 1979. . , General Purpose ...................~.. $ 765,709. County Rates ......................~.. $ 196,545. Elementary School .................~.. $ 255,245. i i Secondary School ..................~.. $ 244,406. , I Sewers ............................~.. $ 32,570. Separate School ...................1.. $ 27,464. AND WHEREAS the Assessment Roll made in 1978 an upon which the 1979 taxes are to be levied was finally revised by the Assessment Review Court. AND WHEREAS the amount of Assessment, entitled ;'0 benefit herein- after referred to as Residential and Farm, and he amount of Assessment not entitled to benefit, hereinafter referred to as business from Unconditional Grants in accordanc~ with Sections 302 and 307 of the Municipal Act, is as follows: 1 Assessment entitled to benefit ....1.. $40,373,685. Assessment not entitled to benefit ~.. $ 9,448,755. AND WHEREAS th¡ amount of Unconditional Grants ~esults in a reduction of mills on the Assessment to benet~ts. 4.36 I THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Kincardine ENACTS as follows: ' That the estilllates be adopted and there shall br' levied and collected upon the assessable lands, bUildings d business within the Corporation of the Town of Kincardin the following rates for the year 1979: I i . .- P.S. The dates for payment of taxes under this BY""'la~ shall be as follows: i Due date of 3rd installment: Septe~ber 15th Due date of 4th installment: Novem~er 15th I In default of payment of any installment of tax~s or any part thereof by the day named therein for the paymen~ thereof, the remaining installment or installments shall for1fhwith become payable. These two bills materially affect the calculations of ¡ 1979 mill rates for municipalities. ì Under Bill 154, Section 6 and Bill 168, SectionI4(12) and 5(11) a municipality is reqUired to allocate a portion ~f its Resource Equalization grant, telephone gross receipts, a$d payments with respect to hospita~s, correctional institutions. universities and community colleges to the county or region ~nd/or school boards in setting its 1979 mill rates.
