BY-LAW
NO. 2022 – 157
BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NO. 2020 – 023,
THE CONSOLIDATED CORPORATE HUMAN RESOURCES
POLICY (2020) BY-LAW
WHEREAS Section 8 (1) and 9 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, as
amended, provide that the powers of a municipality under this or any other Act shall
be interpreted broadly so as to confer broad authority on the municipality to enable
the municipality to govern its affairs as it considers appropriate and to enhance the
municipality’s ability to respond to municipal issues and has the capacity, rights,
powers and privileges of a natural person for the purpose of exercising its authority
under this or any other Act;
AND WHEREAS the Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of Kincardine
passed By-law 2020 - 023 to establish Consolidated Corporate Human Resources
Policies for the Employees of the Municipality of Kincardine;
AND WHEREAS Council adopted the Acceptable Use of Information Technology
Policy at the meeting on October 3, 2022;
AND WHEREAS Council deems it advisable to amend By-law No. 2020 – 023 to
remove the reference to Acceptable Computer Use, Internet Access and
Acceptable Use, and Software Licenses, Acquisition, Installation & Support and
Management of Users;
NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Municipality of
Kincardine ENACTS as follows:
1. That Section 47 – Acceptable Computer Use of Schedule “A” of By-law No.
2020 - 023 be repealed and replaced with the following:
47.0 Acceptable Computer Use
With the adoption of the Acceptable Use of Information Technology Policy,
Section 47 is repealed.
2. That Section 48 – Internet Access and Acceptable Use of Schedule “A” of
By-law No. 2020 - 023 be repealed and replaced with the following:
48.0 Internet Access and Acceptable Use
With the adoption of the Acceptable Use of Information Technology Policy,
Section 48 is repealed.
3. That Section 49 – Software Licenses, Acquisition, installation & Support of
Schedule “A” of By-law No. 2020 - 023 be repealed and replaced with the
following:
49.0 Software Licenses, Acquisition, Installation & Support
With the adoption of the Acceptable Use of Information Technology Policy,
Section 49 is repealed.

4. That Section 50 – Management of Users of Schedule “A” of By-law No. 2020
- 023 be repealed and replaced with the following:
50.0 Management of Users
With the adoption of the Acceptable Use of Information Technology Policy,
Section 50 is repealed
5. That this By-law shall come into full force and effect at the time of its passing.
6. That this By-law may be cited as the “Consolidated Corporate Human
Resources Policies (2020) Amendment (2) By-law”.
READ a FIRST and SECOND TIME this 3rd day of October, 2022.
