THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF KIHCARfINE
BY-LAW NO. 3198 i
Being a By-law to adopt the estiaates of all .ua~ required
during the year to strike the rates of taxation ~or the
year 1976. I

WHEREAS the Council of the CorporatioD of the To
Kincardine in accordance with the Municipal Act
the estiaates of the MUDicipality and of the Bo ds of the
Municipality and it is necessary that the follo ng sums
be raised by .eans of taxation for the yea'¡:' 1976

AND WHEREAS the Asses_ent Roll .ade in 1975 an~uPOD
which the 1976 taxes are to be levied was final revised
by the Assessaent Review Court. I ..
AND WHEREAS the amount of Assessaent entitled t . bènefit
hereinaf'ter referred to as Residential and Farm, and the
aaount of AssesSll.ent not entitled to benef'it, h einafter
ref'erred to as business fro. Uncenditional Gran s in
accordance with Sections 302 and 307 of the M cipal Act,
is as f'ollows:

Asses_aRt not aRtitled to benefit~.. 7,228,405.
AND WHEREAS the amount of Unconditional Grants esults in
a reduction of 3.94 mills on the Assessment to enefit.
THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the rrown of
Kincardine ENACTS as follows: I
That the estimates be adopted and there shall btleVied and
collected upon the assessable lands, buildings d business
within the Corporation of' the Town of' Kincardin the following
rates f'or the year 1976: i

The dates for payment of taxes under this BY-1a~ shall
be as follows: I

Due date of 3rd instalaent: Sept_ber J.5:ph,.
Due date of 4th instalaent: NGvember' 1.5:þ!t_
In default of payment of any instalaent of taxef.r any
part thereof by the day naaed therein for the p .ent
thereof, the reaaining instalaent or instalaent shall
forthwith becoae payable. ,
A percentage charge of 1 per cent (l~) shall be ~posed
as a penalty for non-payment of' and shall be ad~d to
every tax instalment or part thereøf' reaaining paid on
the f'irst day fCilllowing the last day of' payment f each
such instalment and thereafter an additional ch ge of
one per cent (l~) shall be iaposed and shall be dded to
every such tax instalaent or part thereof' reaai . ng unpaid

NOTE:During 1973 Bills 154 and 168 were passed by thE Legislature.
These two bills aaterially af'fect the calculati~n of 1976 mill
rates for municipalities. :

Under Bill 154, Section 6 and Bill 168, Section 4(12) and 5(11)
a .unicipality is required to allocate a portio of its Resource
Equalization grant telephone gross receipts, d payments with
respect to hospitaJ.s, correctional institutions, universities and
cOlllllUnity colleges to the county or region and/r school boards
in setting its 1976 mill rates. !
