THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KINCA INE
BY-LAW
NO. 2005 - 089
BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NO. 2005-083, A B -LAW TO
TEMPORARILY CLOSE CERTAIN STREETS DURING CANADA AY WEEKEND,
JULY 1 TO 3, 2005
WHEREAS the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, Sections 8 and 9 provide
municipalities with powers of a natural person to enable them to go em their affairs as
they consider appropriate and to enhance their ability to respond to unicipal issues;
AND WHEREAS pursuant to Section 11 (2) of the said Munici al Act, lower-tier
municipalities may pass by-laws within the sphere of jurisdiction of ighways, including
parking and traffic on highways;
AND WHEREAS the Council for the Municipality of Kincardine dee ed it advisable to
temporarily close certain streets within the municipality during the Canada Day
weekend, July 1 to 3, 2005 with the passage of By-law No. 2005 083 in order to
restrict unauthorized traffic in order to ensure a safe and orderly wee end;
AND WHEREAS unforeseen circumstances have necessitated th extension of the
closure of Concession 5 of the Municipality of Kincardine betwee Highway 21 and
Bruce County Road 23 on both Friday, July 1, 2005 and Saturd ,July 2, 2005 to
facilitate the Kincardine Canada Day Music Festival:
NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Munici ality of Kincardine
ENACTS as follows:
That Section 12 of Municipality of Kincardine By-law No.2 05-083 be hereby
repealed and the following section substituted therefor:
'That part of Concession 5 westerly from Highway 21 to Bruc County Road 23,
be closed to all vehicular traffic other than those vehicles authorized by the
organizers from 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight on both Frida , July 1, 2005 and
Saturday, July 2, 2005 to facilitate the Kincardine Canada Da Music Festival."

2. That enactment of this by-law is subject to approval by the' Ontario Provincial
