HomeMy WebLinkAbout04 050 tender grass cutting e e e e THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KINC INE KBT BY-LAW NO. 2004 - 50 BEING A BY-LAW TO ACCEPT A TENDER FOR GRASS CU ING IN WARDS 2 AND 3, MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE (Scenic Alterations Landscaping and Consulti g) WHEREAS Section 8 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 200 , c. 25 bestows municipalities with the capacity, rights, powers and privileges 0 a natural person for the purpose of exercising its authority; AND WHEREAS Section 11 (2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, .0. 2001, c. 25 provides that lower-tier municipalities may pass by-laws wit in the sphere of jurisdiction of culture, parks, recreation and heritage; AND WHEREAS it has been determined grass cutting will be r quired on cultural and recreaitonal property owned by the Municipality of Kincardi e in Wards 2 and 3 during the months of May through October; AND WHEREAS the Council for the Municipality of Kincardine d ems it expedient to accept a tender for grass cutting in Wards 2 and 3 of t e Municipality of Kincardine; NOW THEREFORE the Council for the Municipality of Kincar ine ENACTS as follows: That the tender of Scenic Alterations Landscaping and Consulting in the amount of $2,303.71 per cut, including all applicable xes, be hereby accepted. 2. That the Mayor and CAO be hereby authorized to sign on behalf of the Council for the Municipality of Kincardine, any con racts and other documents required to authorize such work to commence 1. 3. This by-law shall come into full force and effect upon its fj al passage. 4. This by-law may be cited as the "2004 Wards 2 and 3 Grass Cutting (Scenic Alterations) Tender Acceptance By-law". Two tenders were received, one ftom Richard Bushell in the amount of $3,688.02 per cut including G.S.T., and the other ftom Scenic Alterations Landscaping and Consulting in the amount of$2303.71 per cut including G.S.T. AVAILABLE OPTIONS: 1. Award tender to Scenic Alterations Landscaping and Consulting 2. Award tender to Richard Bushell 3. Do not award tender PREFERRED OPTION: Option #1 is the preferred option FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS $2303.71 per cut including G.S.T., which is included in the 2004 operating budget.
